JM Constantin is Head of the Intensive Care Unit at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris and Professor of Medicine at the Sorbonne University. He also heads the clinical research group on anesthesia and intensive care at the same university. His main research themes are mechanical ventilation, ARDS and sedation-rehabilitation in intensive care. He has published over 300 articles in these fields. He is President of the French Society of Anesthesia and Intensive Care (SFAR).
